Hope and Urgency: An Art Show for Climate Action

SUBMISSIONS OPEN UNTIL SATURDAY, AUGUST 31 AT 8PM. The climate crisis affects us all, but traditional avenues for advocacy are not always inclusive of those who better advocate for their cause visually. There are so many ways to feel connected to the mobilization for climate action, and we want to create a space to visualize that engagement. Our hope is hold a space full of art related to climate; where we can commiserate, reminisce, hope, fear, imagine, and envision a better world together.

This show holds a lot of opportunities: a space to reflect on the current climate crisis, to inspire others to act, to showcase creative release; to bring our environmental, social justice, and artistic communities together; to support local artists and climate activists; and to fundraise both for an SF gallery and our movement for climate justice.

Opening Reception Friday, September 6, 5pm-10pm
