Get out the vote with 350 Bay Area and Vote Forward
The most momentous general election of our lifetime is fast approaching. Voting has never been more vital. At stake: nothing less than our nation’s standing as a beacon of hope.
350 Bay Area, along with like-minded organizations throughout the US, is partnering with Vote Forward to get out the vote through the BIG SEND, a letter-writing campaign that’s engaging, effective and easily accomplished. From coast-to-coast, people are writing 10 MILLION letters of encouragement to fellow voters in key states reminding them to get to the polls or mail in their ballots for the November 3 election. We’re prepping letters NOW so we’re ready for the BIG SEND on October 27.
We aim for an extraordinary voter turnout this fall. Vote Forward’s campaign focuses on voters in 12 swing states who are less than 50% likely to vote. Personalized letters work and are 3-4 times more effective than postcards. Vote Forward’s proven approach increases the likelihood that recipients of our letters will vote in this fall’s election.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE.
We’re hosting letter writing house parties online every Wednesday evening, 7-8 pm PDT, and Sunday afternoon, 4-5 pm PDT, from now through October 25. Our goal: 35000 letters written and sent from 350 Bay Area members, friends and associates.
