SUMMARY:Rising Together: The Bay Adapt Summit
DESCRIPTION:Rising Together: The Bay Adapt Summit is a dynamic and immersive sea level rise summit that will engage the public in inspiring panels\, keynotes\, tours\, activities\, and workshops designed to forge partnerships and drive action. Join BCDC and the Exploratorium as we invite climate change practitioners\, scientists\, activists\, and YOU to celebrate sea level rise adaptation and the latest climate actions in the neighborhoods! \nWe will kick off the programming with optional morning shoreline tours— each led by one of our four amazing community organization partners — taking participants on a journey of sea level risks and solutions. Register for one of these tours at check-out through the “Add-on” feature. If a tour is sold out\, please email jebrahemi@greenbelt.org to join the waitlist. \nThe Bay Adapt summit will convene into our core afternoon session where leaders and experts from around the region will share exciting adaptation updates\, celebrate achievements\, and provide a snapshot of the current state of adaptation in the Bay Area. Following an inspiring fireside chat\, there will be a series of interactive workshops where you’ll be invited to delve into intersectional topics. Stay tuned for more information!

SUMMARY:Acorns to Oaks Upkeep and Survey
DESCRIPTION:California Climate Action Corps is partnering with Napa RCD to host an Acorns to Oaks Upkeep and Survey Series in Napa’s Alston Park to help maintain the young oak trees. \nRCD has been planting oak trees in Alston Park since 2010. With all the trees planted\, we need as much help as we can get to make sure they survive! This work is crucial in continuing the Acorns to Oaks program in Alston Park and it is a key space for reforesting Napa Valley. \nThe events will take place the first two Saturdays in June (1st & 8th) between 9:00-11:30am. We are happy to accommodate. It will be an interactive and rewarding morning in the park!

SUMMARY:BAYCS Earth Day Festival
DESCRIPTION:Bay Area Youth Climate Summit (BAYCS)\, is an entirely youth-run\, self-governed collective working at the intersection of environmental education & climate justice. BAYCS has worked to engage 7000+ youth through monthly workshops\, connecting over 200 high schools\, and gaining recognition from the UN\, ABC News\, KQED\, & more. Our newest project\, Reclaim Our Futures: Climate Solutions for People + Planet Earth Day Festival is held at Lindley Meadows in Golden Gate Park on Sunday\, April 28th. \nIn a world overtaken by constant climate negativity\, the festival places climate joy\, peer-to-peer education\, and intersectional environmentalism at the center of its mission and has been called “a dynamic event blending eco-inspired art with live music.” We’ll be joined by a dozen high school environmental groups—Lincoln\, Alameda\, Youth vs. Apocalypse\, Urban\, St. Ignatius\, Summit Shasta\, Lick-Wilmerding\, Nueva\, the California Academy of Science’s Youth Action for the Planet\, and more—each eager to co-create climate futures with your community. We see this as a vital opportunity to connect in an in-person format and we encourage you to promote this event with your members/students/peers/network/partners etc. \nDate and Time: Sunday\, April 28th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. \nLocation: Lindley Meadow\, Golden Gate Park. \nMore information: Learn more about the booths here!  \nRegistration: bit.ly/BAYCSEarthDay24. \nSocial Media: Promotional Materials.
